My past writing experience has been primarily on romantic poetry. I want to expand my creative writing in other genres and continue my artistic expression in two different mediums. That being, sketching, watercolor, and photography.

That is a goal of mine, but I certainly don’t want that to be the basis of why I write. I love the moments when I can sit with my notebook and write a story of a life or memory of romance or love.

I will be implementing my military experience in the work, but it won’t be a direct story. I find it to be better and easier to have a conversation about it over writing. My writing was never based on my life’s experience; it was seeded in the idea of love and how I would want it to be my experience.

Yes, I submitted a photo for the Community College’s newspaper called The Rampage, and I was one of three to get my photo published.

Since I was around 8 years old, I liked the challenge of rhyming words every other sentence that was about the topic. A professor in college, Professor Fritzchle, helped me build my confidence level to introduce my personal work to the world.
